The
Cabin

Traslasierra is already a trademark in the national touristic
circuit, it has an identity of its own in the Northwest region of
Cordoba and it’s well-known that our touristic season lasts 365 days
a year for its special weather.
It’s
a good idea to cross over the mountains to come to this well-hidden
place.
The
unique designs have followers for every option.
Our
house, what we usually call a cabin, our domus, is placed within a
natural frame of remarkable tranquility, even when located close to the
town center of San Javier, only 1,100 meters from the square of this
peculiar ancient town for which we came up with the nickname “country
town”.
“When
you first come into this town, you find the square, in front of which
there is the church, built in 1910, the stores, the typical horses tied
onto wooden palisades and the carriages living in perfect harmony with
the 4 wheel traction trucks.”
It’s
a sole cabin for rent located in a wooded gully, inside a one-hectare
park. We also have the Domus-host,
a double bedroom suite, which completes our total capacity for 8
persons.
The
rest of the cleared park has a privileged view to the Sierra Grande de
los Comechingones and it is only shared with our own house, many trees
and some sculptures by Abel (architect – sculptor).
The
cabin, recently built, was conceived according to contemporary design
guidelines, where brick and stone walls contrast with glass openings
that blend them into the environment.
Its
facilities make it especially suitable for large families and thanks to
its distribution into two separate levels with independent entrances,
it’s possible to share it with a friend couple keeping the privacy you
need.
It
has a dining/living room extending in a deck that penetrates the
treetops because of the slopes in the land.
The
kitchen is fully equipped and two bedrooms and a bathroom complete this
level.
The
other level consists of a third bedroom and a bathroom that complete the
cabin accommodations.
For
cold weather, the cabin is equipped with a combined heating system.
Gas
heaters in the bedrooms and a high performance salamander, Bosca style,
in the living room.
The
12-meter-diameter swimming pool was built a hundred meters away from the
cabin to preserve the valuable silence for which this place is noted, in
an attempt to keep the house away from the typical summer racket of
children in the swimming pool.
Barbecue grill and parking lot.
